Deciding Between the Infiniti QX80 and the QX80 Signature Edition

Infiniti QX80 RoanokeOnce you have decided to drive the three-row luxury Infiniti QX80 around Roanoke, you still need to figure out which configuration you would prefer to have. There are total of five available configurations, as the models with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive are both available in their base configurations and with the Signature Edition, and there is also a Limited trim. The main decision for most drivers is whether you want to upgrade to the Signature Edition, which will add numerous features to the base version.

Features of Both

No matter whether you choose the QX80 or the QX80 Signature Edition, you will get an incredible list of standard features. The exterior features automatic LED headlights plus fog lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, automatic high-beam control, rear privacy glass, parking sensors, a power liftgate, and power-folding mirrors that automatically dim.

Inside, either the Infiniti QX80 or QX80 Signature Edition will give you 8-way power adjustment and 2-way power lumbar for the heated driver’s seat, 6-way power for the front passenger, leather upholstery, keyless entry plus ignition, captain’s chairs for the second row, automatic tri-zone climate control, power adjustment for the heated steering wheel, and a third row that splits 60/40 and power folds.

Technology in either trim includes an 8-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera for parking, Bluetooth for both audio and phone, 13 speakers of Bose sound, voice controls, navigation, satellite radio, inputs for USB and auxiliary audio, and a CD player.

What the Signature Edition Adds

The Infiniti QX80 Signature Edition stands out with its additional exterior chrome trim and unique interior trim in tan. It also adds everything that is optional through the Split Bench Seat and Driver Assistance Packages on the non-Signature Edition models. The first of these groups swaps out the second-row captain’s chairs with a 60/40 split and folding bench seat. The second adds advanced safety features, including a switch on the steering wheel for the Safety Shield Technologies, Forward Emergency Braking, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Backup Collision Intervention, Distance Control Assist, and Intelligent Cruise Control at any speed.
