Tap The Keg With Devils Backbone Brewing Company

Devils Backbone Brewing

You don’t have to look too hard to find a good Thursday-night party this year. You just have to attend the Party at Elmwood every Thursday through Sept. 27 to enjoy live music, drinks, and tons of fun. The organizers mixed it up a little this year by including some Tap the Keg Craft Beer Party Nights, and the Devils Backbone Brewing Company will be there for the last of these special events. Tap the Keg with the Devils Backbone Brewing Company will take place on Aug. 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and it’ll feature all the things you love about the party plus some craft brews. The event will highlight some of the brewery’s best concoctions, and you might even get some swag.

It costs $5 to enter, and kids 12 and under get in for free.

About the Devils Backbone Brewing Company

The Devils Backbone Brewing Company is a little different than most of the breweries out there. Steve and Heidi Crandall realized they loved craft beer back in 1992 when they visited Cortina, Italy. It was the first time they’d tried a craft beer, and they fell in love. They continued to travel and try more craft brews, and they finally realized they needed to start their own brewery. They gathered some friends, came up with a business plan, and finally started their brewery in 2008. The brewery has an excellent lineup of beer, but the best just might be the Vienna lager. It’s crisp and perfectly balanced, and it just might become your go-to brew.

About the Music

The beer isn’t the only reason you should attend this event. The Band of Oz will also be there. This band is huge in the southeast and is known for beach music. The band is comprised of eight members, and that includes a full horn section. As you can imagine, this music goes great with some craft brews, so get ready for a fun evening.

Other Events

The party will keep going through Sept. 27, and each week, you can expect something different. For instance, Sept. 13 is First Responders Night. You can get in for free if you have a badge or ID. Check out the schedule, and make your plans to attend at least a few of these parties.

You have so many parties to attend, and you aren’t sure if your wheels are up to the challenge. Check one worry off your list by getting a new car, truck, or SUV from Berglund Automotive in Roanoke, Virginia. Your new ride will make it easy to go to all the places you want to go.
