Information About Dr. Pepper Park

The gates at Dr. Pepper Park open at 6 in the evening. Whether it is raining or shining, you will be able to enjoy wonderful performances at the park. Shows typically take place on Fridays and Saturdays, though, there can be performances scheduled during the week as well.

If you need to visit the Will-Call window, then you can find it near the entrance of the park on the right of the Bank of Botetourt box office. Be careful to bring everything you need for the show with when you enter. Unfortunately, there is no re-entry. Pay attention also to the details of each individual show as some shows are designated only for those who are eighteen years old or older. You should also be aware that there is no seating at Dr. Pepper Park. You can, however, bring folding chairs into the park with you.

Vendors

It can be a long night at Dr. Pepper Park, and you may get hungry or thirsty during the performance. Food and beverages cannot be brought in from the outside, however, there are several local food vendors at the park. While both credit cards and cash are accepted at the gate, there are some vendors who may only accept cash. Dr. Pepper Park is also dog friendly. If you want to bring your fur baby to the shows, then you are more than welcome to have your dog at Dr. Pepper Park as long as they stay on a leash.

Parking

If you are looking for a place to park on the night of the show, then the best suggested place to park is Roanoke Memorial Hospital Riverwalk Garage. The garage is only three-tenths of a mile from the park, but you can certainly take the free shuttle if you desire. Of course, you can try to find parking anywhere in downtown Roanoke as Dr. Pepper Park is across from Virginia Tech’s Carilion School of Medicine, which is  on South Jefferson Street.
