Well, now you can celebrate that love at the Great Pumpkin Smash 2018. It’ll be at Dr. Pepper Park at the Bridges on Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5, and kids 12 and under get into the event for free. You also need to bring some cash with you. There will be food and beverage vendors there, but they will only accept cash.

A Day Full of Pumpkins
There are more than 2,000 acres of pumpkin fields in Virginia, so it makes sense that Roanoke has a pumpkin-themed event. With so many pumpkins available, the organizers are able to have a day full of pumpkin-based activities, food, and drinks. There will also be live music playing, plus a fun area for kids. With so much to do, you will have ample opportunities to celebrate pumpkins at this year’s Great Pumpkin Smash.
The entire day is fun, but there are two events that stand out. First, there is the weight game. See if you can guess the weight of the biggest pumpkin at the event. You might be surprised by how heavy it is.
Then, it’ll be time to smash that great pumpkin. There is something satisfying about smashing a pumpkin. Yes, you love pumpkins, but give it a go. It’s cathartic.
