Terror Manor

In addition, actors prowl around and may jump out when you least expect it.
The Patrick Henry Hotel
There are no strobe lights or scary costumes at the Patrick Henry Hotel, but you still might see ghosts. Built in 1925, many living guests have claimed that there are a few unliving guests in residence. In fact, people say that three men haunt the hotel ballroom. And on the second floor, you might smell lingering smoke from a man who sits at one of the tables there. Finally, a few people have felt the presence of an older woman who passed in one of the hotel rooms long ago.
Blue Ridge Nightmares at Center on 9th
In the historic Roanoke Industrial Center, you’ll find Blue Ridge Nightmares. This haunted house is a partnership with Anthony Giordano, a special effects artist, and a creative director. Avenel Plantation
Down the road from Roanoke in Bedford is the Avenel Plantation. William M. Burwell and his wife, Francis Steptoe, built the plantation in 1838, and people believe it is home to both human and feline ghosts. What could be a perfect place for a haunt than a theater? Since the 1930s, the Lyric has been in Blacksburg, about 26 miles from Roanoke. During construction, a worker passed away, and many think his spirit never truly left.
