Pick Up A Pumpkin At Layman Farms

Pumpkin

Fall is in the air! If you step outside, you can actually smell it. There’s something invigorating about the smells, sights, and activities that are available in the fall. Maybe it’s the crisp air, or perhaps it’s just because fall is so much fun, but you can’t help but get excited. That excitement will reach a fever pitch at the Fall Festival at Layman Family Farms. It’s just $12 to get in, and kiddos two and under get in for free. Once you are there, you will get to pick the best pumpkin in Virginia, and that’s not all. The Fall Festival is all about celebrating the best that the fall has to offer, so make some plans to visit. It’s open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The Pumpkin Patch

So, you are looking for that perfect pumpkin, huh? It has to be the right shape and size, and it needs to be perfectly ripe. You might have visited grocery stores and small farms, hoping to find it, but you keep coming up empty.

You won’t have any trouble getting your pumpkin at Layman Family Farms. The farm has 40 acres of pumpkin patches, so if you can’t find your pumpkin here, it just doesn’t exist. Best of all, the pumpkins come in various shapes and sizes. Maybe you want something tiny to use as a centerpiece and then something huge to carve for your jack-o’-lantern. You’ll find it and so much more.

Oh, and you can even add in some fall decorations to compliment your pumpkin. Corn stalks, gourds, Indian corn, and straw bales are also available for purchase. Grab some decorations when you get your pumpkin to ensure you have the best-decorated home in Roanoke.

Additional Activities

As long as you’re there, you might as well enjoy the other Fall Festival activities. The corn maze is the highlight. This 8-acre corn maze is challenging and fun. You’ll have to make your first decision within a few seconds of entering the maze. Left or right? If you make the right decision, you’ll be closer to getting out. Get it wrong? You’ll wind around for a bit before you realize you made a mistake somewhere.

Oh, and here’s the coolest part. The maze is divided into two phases. You can leave after phase one if you aren’t up to the challenge, or you can keep going. That’s when the corn maze gets super hard.

You can also enjoy all kinds of other activities, such as the Spookley Storybook Trail and the Barnyard Ball Zone. They really pile up the fun here.

You’ll also have a lot of fun at Berglund Automotive in Roanoke, Virginia. You might not be able to pick the perfect pumpkin or wind through a corn maze, but you will find the vehicle of your dreams. Let us help you find the perfect set of wheels.
