Score At The Roanoke Pinball Museum

Antique Pinball Machine

Do you remember spending your childhood playing pinball in the arcade? While regular arcades are few and far between, you can relive those memories at the Roanoke Pinball Museum. The interactive museum is home to over 60 machines, and all are playable. They range from 1932 to the machines of today, so you can learn the history of pinball while playing. And that history stretches back to when machines were loaded with wooden balls, so this is a real treat.

The Roanoke Pinball Museum offers two-hour sessions on Tuesdays through Saturdays as well as memberships. Single sessions are $12.50 for adults. Kids aged 10 and under get in for $9 with an adult, and children under 2 don’t have to pay to go to the museum.

Take Part in Challenges

The Roanoke Pinball Museum often has challenges for guests. For instance, guests have participated in the 75,000 Point Wizard Challenge to win prizes. The first guest of the day to hit the point threshold receives a prize. This is just one example of the challenges available. Be sure to ask the staff if there’s an active challenge when you go over to play.

Compete Against Your Friends on Well-Maintained Machines

Don’t worry if you miss the challenge of the day. You’ll still have a blast at the museum while playing on the machines. The owner painstakingly cares for these machines, so they are in excellent shape, and there are so many choices. Those choices include a special Harlem Globetrotters on Tour machine from 1978 and a Target Alpha machine traced back to 1976. The staff will tell you about the machines if you wish, or you can just dive in and start playing.
