This month, seniors from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the U.S. will come together for an all-star football bowl game that could advance their careers on and off the field. The annual HBCU Spirit of America Bowl is coming to Salem for the Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend.

The bowl game will be held at the Salem Football Stadium on Sunday, January 19. Kickoff will be at 1:30 p.m., rain or shine. The Salem Football Stadium is located at 1002 Texas Street, Salem, Virginia 24153. Adult tickets are $10 each, and tickets for children, students, seniors, and military are $5. The All-Star Bowl Game
For this game, 100 football players from all across the country will form two all-star teams in Salem. All season long, scouts keep an eye on college game activity, taking notes on the standout talent at each school. Each year, outstanding college seniors are invited to participate in the game, creating both an unforgettable college sendoff and a true bowl game experience for deserving athletes. In addition to the fans in the stadium, a host of scouts will be in attendance to eye prospects for the NFL. The players in Salem will put forth their best efforts, as a star performance here may lead to new opportunities down the road. During the halftime, an HBCU band will take to the field for an engaging show of music and dance.
The Awards Banquet
During the game week, the athletes will be honored at a banquet for their family, friends, and mentors. At the event, they will receive personalized jerseys from their head coaches, and special awards will be presented to celebrate accomplishments throughout their college career. The seniors will also hear an inspiring message from a keynote speaker before embarking on the next stage of their educational and professional journeys. In years past, the banquet has been attended by hundreds of guests and a variety of NFL players.
