Does the tantalizing aroma of bacon frying make your mouth water? Does the fantasy of pork sizzling put you in a blissful mood? You definitely don’t want to miss Bacon Fest 2019, which will arrive in Roanoke on September 21 at Elmwood Park. Bring your whole family to this bacon extravaganza, which offers great music by the Mavericks, kids’ activities, and plenty of fabulous food. The entire metropolitan area is eagerly anticipating this event, now in its seventh delicious year.
The Main Attraction
Bacon is the star of the show! Tickets can be purchased to redeem for sample-sized portions of mouthwatering bacon creations as well as water and Pepsi products. Pick your perfect ticket package among these options:
- Piglet Portion – 4 tickets for $10
- The Porker – 8 tickets for $15
- The Whole Hog – 12 tickets for $20
- VIP pass – $50. An especially exciting experience awaits those who purchase the Very Important Piggy Pass. Each VIP will be served all-day bacon samples under the cool comfort of the VIP tent. The VIPs also have the privilege of judging the samples, in order to elect the 2019 Boss Hog winner.
Nothing goes better with bacon than live musical entertainment. The Mavericks will be performing live at the Elmwood Park amphitheater, and there will be several fun activities for the kids, including a bounce house and face painting.
Location, Time, and Tickets
Bacon Fest 2019 is set for September 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elmwood Park in Roanoke. Admission is $5, with children 12 and younger admitted free. This is a rain or shine event. The Mavericks will take the stage at 7 p.m. Concert tickets are $30 if purchased in advance, and $35 the day of the performance. This includes the cost of admission to Bacon Fest.
