The shuttle will drop you off 1,500 feet from the top of the mountain, but you only have to hike a few hundred feet to enjoy the view. Bring some hiking shoes, and board the shuttle. It’s so much fun.

The night sky is gorgeous at the Peaks of Otter Lodge. The stars shine brightly here, and you can learn all about them from Greg Redfern. He is a professor of astronomy, and he leads presentations at the lodge. These free programs tell you everything there is to know about the stars in the sky. You can even learn about the missions to the moon and so much more. You will be in awe, and these programs are great for all ages, so you can take the kids along too.
