Shakers

Established in 1986, Shakers is prominently known as one of the best casual American restaurants in Roanoke. The Roanoker Restaurant

Founded by three friends on July 1st, 1941, Crafton Warren and his business partners started this restaurant with only $600. After WWII broke out, the partners were called to different areas, but Crafton and his wife continued the restaurant and cooked meals to support troops on long train journeys. Today, The Roanoker Restaurant still offers homemade buttermilk biscuits, pies, vegetables, meatloaf, and other soul food delights. 

Local Roots

Voted Best Overall Restaurant as well as Best Staff in 2016-2020, the Local Roots restaurant is largely embedded in the fertile farmlands of Southwest Virginia. Equipped with modern farmers using old-fashioned techniques, the Local Roots restaurant takes pride in serving wholesome and fresh ingredients to their guests every day. With locations up and down the east coast, Jack Brown’s is a name that has become synonymous with delicious burgers. An owners’ dream from childhood, friends Aaron Ludwig and Mike Sabin have spent a combined 35 years in the restaurant industry. With a menu that is intentionally simple, all burgers are made from 100% certified Wagyu beef cooked to perfection.
