Art and golf are usually two very different things. You might hit the links in the morning and then stop by a museum in the afternoon. What if you could combine your two love into one epic event? No, you’re not going to be hitting golf balls down the halls at the museum, but you can play a round at the Art of Golf event benefiting the Taubman Museum of Art. You’ll hit the links on Oct. 5 at the Roanoke Country Club, and you can get your fill of art the day before at the special Artoberfest Party at the museum.
Registration is $300 for individuals and $1,200 for teams of four. Register now, so you’ll be sure to have a spot at this event.
Ready to Party?
When you register for the golf outing, you will have access to the Artoberfest Party on Oct. 4. This exclusive event is like Oktoberfest, but with art. You’ll get to look around the museum while chowing down on German food and craft brews. The highlight will be the exhibit “Drive! Iconic American Cars and Motorcycles.” You’ll get to explore this cool exhibit without fighting the crowds.

Don’t stay out too late the night before the Art of Golf tournament. You want to be fresh when you roll up at the country club. The tournament doesn’t start until 11 a.m., but get there early so you can enjoy the Bloody Mary bar. It’ll open at 9:30 a.m. and will help loosen you up for the main event.
Then, you’ll be ready to take off on the course. You won’t just have golf on your mind when you play, though. There will be beverage and food stations on the course, so you will have lots to look forward to as you move from one hole to the next.
Oh, and the fun won’t end just because the tournament is over. Stick around for the putting contest and hang out in the beer garden. Then, of course, you’ll need to claim your award at the ceremony.
It’s going to be hard to wait for this golf tournament. Is going to be a blast. What will you do to pass the time until Oct. 5 rolls around? How about getting a new ride from Berglund Group in Roanoke, Virginia? Your new vehicle will be just what you need to fill the days before the tournament.
