Infiniti QX70 or Lincoln MKX: What Is Perfect for You?

Infiniti QX70 Lincoln MKX VirginiaChoosing your next luxury SUV can be intimidating, especially if you don’t have any brand loyalty. Some Roanoke drivers prefer the Infiniti QX70 while others like the Lincoln MKX better. To figure out which one of these models you would do better driving around Virginia, take a closer look at how they stack up against each other.

Engines

The Infiniti QX70 only offers one engine while the Lincoln MKX offers two. The QX70’s 3.7-liter V6 generates 325 horsepower and a torque of 267 pound-feet. The base engine in the MKX is the same size, a 3.7-liter V6, but it has a lower power output of 303 horsepower with slightly more torque, at 278 pound-feet. If you want more power than these engines offer, consider the MKX with its available 335-horsepower 2.7-liter turbocharged V6.

Fuel Economy

Although this engine does require an upgrade in price, it doesn’t enhance power much. It will boost fuel economy slightly to 21 mpg* combined. By comparison, the base QX70 gets 19 mpg* and the MKX’s base engine gets 20 mpg*. The Lincoln’s advantage in fuel economy is minimal, especially considering the QX70 has better power output. To give the Infiniti another advantage, it also has a larger fuel tank, holding 24 gallons compared to 18 in the MKX. This means that you can go further without refueling in the Infiniti even with its slightly lower efficiency.

Interior Space

The QX70 and MKX have similar dimensions, although the Infiniti has a slightly longer wheelbase while the Lincoln is a bit taller. The figures for interior seating space are similar, typically within an inch or so of each other. Keep in mind that the QX70 has a bit more front legroom and headroom while the MKX has slightly more rear legroom.
