If you want a luxury SUV to drive around Roanoke, you will find yourself with many options. That is still the case even if you know you need a large SUV that seats seven passengers in comfort. Two of the favorite options among luxury SUVs are the Infiniti QX80 and the Lincoln Navigator. They have some obvious similarities along with a few key differences, but neither one is a bad choice. Instead, they just appeal to a slightly different audience.
Infiniti QX80 and Lincoln Navigator Pricing and Configurations
Amazingly enough, the starting MSRP of the QX80 and Navigator are nearly identical. The Lincoln Navigator starts at $63,195 MSRP** while the Infiniti QX80 starts at $63,280**. In other words, neither model has an advantage in that particular comparison. If you are interested in configuring your vehicle, the Infiniti is available with seating for seven or eight, two trim levels, and either rear-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive. The Lincoln Navigator can also seat seven or eight passengers and lets you choose from the same drivetrains. It only has slightly more configurations than the QX80 since there are two trims, each of which you can get with either a standard or extended wheelbase. Drivers who want an extended wheelbase will want to select the Lincoln Navigator, but otherwise, you will get a similar number of options from either model.
Infiniti QX80 and Lincoln Navigator Engines
Since they are full-size SUVs, most Roanoke drivers will want to know about the power of the QX80 and Navigator. Both models only have one engine, and they are fairly comparable. The QX80’s 5.6-liter V8 generates 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet and can get 15* or 16 mpg* combined. The Navigator’s 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 produces 380 horsepower and 460 pound-feet and achieves 16* to 18 mpg* combined. Therefore, if you want more power, you should choose the Infiniti, while the Navigator has more torque and slightly better fuel economy. The Navigator can also tow slightly more, up to 9,000 pounds compared to 8,500 for the QX80. Most drivers find this a negligible difference, however.
You can’t go wrong in choosing the Infiniti QX80 or the Lincoln Navigator. To learn more about the specific features or to take the Infiniti QX80 and Lincoln Navigator for a test drive visit Berglund Infiniti in Roanoke or Berglund Lincoln in Lynchburg, VA.
