Lions, and tigers, and bears, and…candy? It must be time for Zoo Boo at the Mill Mountain Zoo! This year’s festivities will be on Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., so stop by and enjoy hours of safe Halloween fun. You don’t even have to pay extra for this special event. Just pay your regular admission price ($9 for adults and $7 for kids) and enjoy all the fun activities.
Safe Trick-or-Treating
Your kids love candy, so they can’t get enough of trick-or-treating. Of course, it gets harder and harder to ensure they have a fun experience every year. Some people don’t turn on their porch lights, so you can’t visit those houses. Then, you don’t want to go to anyone’s house you don’t know.
Talk about stressful.
Trick-or-treating is meant to be stress-free, and that’s just what it is at Zoo Boo. Your kids can dress up in their favorite costumes and go trick-or-treating right at the zoo. Who knows? They might even give you some of the candy. Just don’t expect to your kids to give you Hershey bars or Reese’s peanut butter cups. Those are trick-or-treating gold, so don’t even ask.
Join the Costume Contest
You know your kids are absolutely adorable in their costumes. They might as well get rewarded for their cuteness. They can enter a costume contest at Zoo Boo and try to take home first prize.
Don’t worry if they don’t win, though. They’ll have so much fun that the title of “Best Costume” would just be icing on that already delicious Halloween cake.
Spooktacular Art
Do your kids love art? What if that art has a spooky twist? Does that make it even better? If so, they will want to attend all the Spooktacular art events at Zoo Boo. They can create that perfect Halloween art to hang around the house to celebrate Halloween. Then, your house will look extra spooky when you entertain trick-or-treaters.

The Performances
It wouldn’t be a Zoo Boo without some creepy performances. There will be performers onsite, entertaining the kids throughout the day. Don’t worry, though. These performances might be spooky, but it’s a family-friendly type of scare.
You’re going to get lots of family-friendly scares at Zoo Boo, just like you can get a family-friendly vehicle at Berglund Automotive in Roanoke, Virginia. Get something spacious and full of features to make all those family road trips so much more fun.
