Enjoy the Great Outdoors at Mill Mountain Park
A day exploring Roanoke wouldn’t be complete without visiting Mill Mountain Park. You can stretch your legs on the hiking and biking trails and stop by the Discovery Center to take in the exhibits. The park is also home to the Mill Mountain Zoo, where you can see birds, mammals, and reptiles. Then, you can end your visit by gazing at the Roanoke Star. If you’re there at night, you’ll get an even better view of the star. It’s illuminated by neon tubing, making it stand out against the night sky.
